just called up IRO & was informed that the results for my application will only be released during the first or second week of April. reason being that CUHK hasn't gotten back to them with regards to the number of vacancies available. managed to find out that more than 20 ppl applied to that particular uni. gosh. i didn't know that HK was such a popular choice! 2 more weeks of waiting i guess...
music presentation's over! yayness... :D now to start preparing for my music listening test next friday... gotta listen to Smetena - The Moldau & Mendelssohn - Concerto for Violin & Orchestra in E Minor, Opus 64 sch's gonna be out soon!! wheeeeee!!

ooooh.. it's freezing here in the lab. i've decided to be a good girl today & go for my v last biz law lecture. :) sure got exam tips. so must go. haha.. :D 1.5 hrs more to go... rained twice today. the whole sch feels like a semi-freezer. :(
guess i shd start studying for finals soon. it's in 3 weeks time!! horrors. econs quiz on thurs & i'm left with 3 more chapters to go.

yesterday's BS was v gd as usual.. i <3 my 11th commandment T-Shirt. 'Thou Shalt Not Sweat'. :D haha. no more works or human effort cause JC has already done it all for us! so all we gotta do is to relax & rest in Him! see. so easy right? don't understand y ppl wanna complicate the whole thing. the human mind can't seem to accept that it's just so easy. it took me quite a while before it finally sank thru too.
shit la... got 2 quizzes next week. so un-fun. :( gotta start mugging for the econs quiz. i'm waaaaaaay behind on my readings for that. think i've got like 6 chapters worth to catch up on. gonna head down to the airport to study later cause it's just way to hot at home. i can feel the heat emiting from the wall!!
week 13. the week whereby all NTU students prepare to enter into mugging mode. 5 papers to sit for & it's over! my 1st year in NTU will be over!!!! and the best part?! it's HOLIDAYS for 3 mths after that!!! i'm so looking forward to that. :D

and so... i skipped sch today. wasn't feeling too good. i think i stressed myself out last night over acct. had a gd long sleep and i feel great right now! Rest is the key. :D lots of work to be done. at least i finished my acc tutorial last night. haha. that's always the most time consuming one.
i think i'll try to stop shopping online so much. the clothes are getting similar & slightly more expensive. :( and just for the record, i've only bought 1 top for the mth of march thus far! *claps* i feel so accomplished.
anw, the next triumvirate outing is on the 30th of April (after my exams) at Breko's & Island Creamery!!! can't wait!!! gotta meet up with Debbie before shemorphs changes into a totally different person! haha..

3 more weeks to my study break! the term is ending pretty fast.. i like! haha. i realise that i seem to be posting abt the end of term all the time. i guess i don't really like school. on the other hand, i love holidays! :D i mean, who doesn't?
project deadlines are looming ahead, which means that i've gotta start completing them. acc 2 is due next thurs and i don't even think my grp's halfway done!! somehow, i still can't seem to feel a sense of urgency. perhaps it's cause i'm too jaded from being in sch for more than half my life. when i was in primary sch, my teacher told me to work hard so that i can get into a gd sec sch. and in sec sch, my teacher told me the same thing again. the same goes for JC. and when i finally got into uni, i thought the struggle for gd grades was going to end. but guess what? Nooooo. i need to work hard in order to earn my honours! why? so that i can get a gd job in the future... the rat race really never ends, does it? so what if we win it? we'll just become the first rat. this endless chase & struggle for success has become an integral part of our lives, so much so that much of our lives revolve around it. when will we ever have time to stop and smell the flowers??

yet another week has gone by in a twinkling of an eye.. 4 more weeks to go before my study break. this effectively means that my exams are drawing closer & closer. this sem has gone by pretty fast as compared to my 1st sem. i guess it's because there are lesser projects, which means that we don't have to stay in school for long periods trying to complete them. hah. after exams, it's time to play! :D can't wait!
last night's BS was gd! and we sang the v nice song!! haha.. ade must be v happy too. ;) i've a feeling that they're gonna release a new album soon. it seems like more & more new songs are being introduced. probably to familiarise us with them i suppose.
Victoria's Secrets has v nice stuff!! a pity that they're kinda ex. gotta wait for sales or offers before i can buy them... but i gotta save anyhow. results for my application for Summer Studies shd be out within the next week or so. hope that i get it.. along with becky,weilin & yvonne. then we can really shop! and study too... mustn't forget that. :D
need to plan my timetable next sem. then i won't have to wait so long for CG on fridays. cath said that she would help me with it. she's the expert timetable planner. :D haha. it would be quite fun if the CG ppl are all in the same class.. :)

Why do so many people think that they need to do something before they can earn God's love? God loves us unconditionally. A simple act of believing & trusting Him is all we have to do! It was because of us that God sent His beloved Son,Jesus Christ to die on the cross.
"For God so loved the world,that He gave his one & only Son,that whosoever believes in Him, shall not perish but have eternal life" - John 3:16
This is the verse that many kids are memorizing in their Sunday schools every week. This verse has been repeated, taught & instilled in us week after week. Children have no problem believing that their Daddy God loves them so so so so much that He would do anything for them. Call it childlike faith if you must. God wants us to come to Him like little children, believing in Him & trusting in His love for us..
God's love for us is free! In fact, we can't even claim to love God first! This is because His love for us is so great that it's impossible for us to love Him as much as He loves us. His love for us is infinite, so much so that words can't even begin to describe it. After we have received our Father's love do we start loving Him more & more. As we see more & more of His goodness manifested in our lives, we can't help but love Him more & more & more! Because of His love towards us, we can't help but want to spread the love round. Somewhat like a "Pass it on" game don't u think?
When all else fails, we can always take comfort in the fact that our God will always be there for us. Remember that We Are The Reason that He came to die for our sins on the cross!!

How many times have we asked God for a sign just to be certain of His ways for us? I'm sure that many of us have done so. I myself included. However, a revelation from today's bible study has taught me otherwise. In the past, during the days of the Old Testament, God would show signs to the ppl of Israel as proof that He is God & that it was His will for them to do certain things. Some examples would include the parting of the Red Sea & the burning bush that reflects God's presence in Exodus. God spoke to the ppl in an audible voice, just as how you & i speak to each other today. Remember in the Garden of Eden when God spoke to Adam & Eve? His voice can be heard plainly.. But these signs are external.
With Jesus's death on the cross, everything has changed. We are no longer under the old covenant, that which was temporal. But we are now under the new covenant which is everlasting. Jesus has now sent the Holy Spirit to dwell within us!
"And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Counselor to be with you forever -- the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will be in you." - John 14:16-17
So now, with the Holy Spirit within us, the answer to all our questions can be found within us! Don't look outwards! Look inwards! His love for us is sure & steady. He is constantly assuring us of His love for us. Stop questioning Him & start believing in His word & His love for us! our Abba Father wants only the best for us!
