it's mugging week now. managed to finish reading my OB & D. yay!! quite a torturous & ardous process, but i managed to do it! :) i'm now trying to understand the complexities of Multiple Regression. i'm left with one chapter to go. Need to re-revise Acc also. probably will do so tomorrow. Stats shall & must be completed TONIGHT! exams are no fun. :(

was at the airport with Esther last sat & we had delicious Indonesian food @ the House Of Sundanese Food for lunch! at first glance, we thought that it was gonna be pretty pricey cause of the posh looking interior and all. but when we stepped up to look at the menu.. woah. it was pretty reasonable! the service was great as well. the waiter gave us a corner seat so that we could study (but of course we didn't... ) . I had chicken marinated with some sweet sauce & rice while Esther had curry chicken & rice. there was a free flow of dessert as well!! each of us spent only $8.30 [inclusive of drinks etc]. and we were sooooo full! :) it's so much better than Popeye's. :P

after lunch, we headed to the viewing gallery @ T2 to study.. everything was going well until this weird guy sat down next to Esther. ok. 1 seat away from Esther to be exact. He had a pair of binoculars in his hand and was behaving in a really funny manner. He seemed as if he wanted to talk to Esther. and Esther, being Esther, started squirming and all on the floor. haha.. that guy would get up from time to time to look at the planes, muttering to himself at the same time. then, he decided to change his seat and so, he sat behind me! Esther claims that he kept turning ard to look at us.. *shivers*. when i asked Esther if she wanted to leave, the guy started packing up as well.. Esther pretended that she wanted to look at something else before leaving. the truth is, she wanted to let the guy walk ahead of us so that we wouldn't bump into him or something.

it's really deja vu or something... this time last year, both Esther & I were at T2's Mac studying when this old man would come at 2pm sharp everyday to 'clean' the tables & sleep. we were sitting in the innermost booth then. he would come and drag all the standalone tables to a corner, clean it, lay out the brochures on it & go to sleep. there's something abt airports and weird men. or maybe it's just esther. haha. :P i dun meet weird characters when i go to the airport alone...

okie.. i'm back from sch! i just had to blog abt this.. :) i got back my Accounting 1 test and i got 73.5/100!!! praise God! i didn't expect to get this mark at all!! God is faithful & His grace will see us through! i still remember feeling quite despondent during & after the test. i told God :" Lord, I don't want to worry abt it anymore. I just want to cast it all to you & i believe that you'll come through for me. " His love & grace for us is just so amazing that it's hard to express it in words. :) It can only be evidenced through one's personal life & experience. :)

14th week of sch = last week of sch. i feel strangely estastic, but yet a feeling of dread is hanging over me. Exams are in approximately 2 weeks time. i forsee that the whole of next week will be spent at my usual haunt, mugging like there's no tomorrrow. i pray for God's grace to even just see me through my exams, that i'll be able to obtain the grades that i desire. I'll probably be hopping down to mug tomorrow. Need to catch up desperately for OB & D. the only chapters that i've read so far were those in conjuction with my project. i've laid out my holiday plan already. a little early i know, but at least it gives me something to look forward to. i've sent in my application for a holiday job yesterday & i hope that i'll get it. :)

i'm due in sch at 1230 for my AA101 tutorial. will be getting back my practice assignment. i don't really want to see the likes of it. :( now that lectures have ceased, i'm travelling to sch everyday for a 2hr tutorial before coming home. that effectively means that i travel for 3 hrs for a 2 hrs class. 2 more days of this before i start my study break. sometimes, i just wish that time would fly by faster for the days that i don't like & it would go by slowly for those that i do like. there just isn't enough hrs in a day for me to do the things that i want to do.

i've realised that LJ is a pretty fast avenue for me to sell off my stuff.. but it's pretty time-consuming as compared to FP. you win some, you lose some..

off to school now......

had a pretty fruitful study session with esther at our favourite studying place. :) it's been ages since i last went there with esther. the last time was probably during the As. the place has changed quite a bit, but not the ppl. It's nice to know that some things will never change. :) managed to complete my AA101 revision. praise God! :) now, i just need to keep revising to make sure that i'm able to remember everything that i've studied. was there from 11.30am-730pm... had Popeye's for lunch. yummy!!! i haven't had it for the longest time. i remember esther,pam & i swore off Popeye's after eating it in HK International Airport. S'pore Popeye's tastes much better!!

2 more weeks to the exams and I"M FREE!! can't wait. :) i'm left with Stats,OB[which i've read halfway.. ok. 1/4 to be exact] & FM. God, i pray that you'll continue to just guide me even as i study for the exams. by yr grace, all things are possible!! :)

and ade, don't worry so much abt the exams. i believe that you'll be able to complete studying. :) no more condemnation!!! God's grace will definitely abound in our lives cause we're His beloved! :)

waxing lyrical

it's been a while ever since i really wrote. acct seems to have stifled me greatly. i remember complaining about the endless essays that i had to write for div & lit. looking back now, i find that i actually miss it. writing is cathartic. it is an outlet through which i can vent my frustration, release & express my innermost thoughts and feelings. at times, i question myself. would i have been happier in the literary world instead of the financial world which i'm currently in now. the amount of stress tagged along with the financial world is unbearable at times. perhaps, this is what you would call reality. the truth is always harsh. that being said and done, i really miss lit now..the endless quotes that we had to understand & memorise, bouncy ding-dong doing her thing up in front of class, smith-y prancing ard in front of us & even miss d with all her phallic referrences in Anthony & Cleopatra.

life is just so different now. i can't say for certain that it is more exciting, but it has definitely changed me. for better or for worse, it's up to u to decide. but i'm glad that even through this transition period, my friends have been there for me. thanks esther for all the late night calls & 'counselling' that you gave. thanks pam for the shopping trips to help me destress. :) love u guys!!! :) [just thought that i would end off on a high note]

managed to finish Linear Regression!!! :) quite pleased with myself. spent the whole day studying.. just need to read up on Multiple Regression and i'll be set. :) i still dun really understand correlation though.. i'm gonna take a break now. no more studying for a while. i don't think i'll be able to concentrate as well. :P

been surfing the net & reading up on the various countries that i want to visit. :) i hope to visit Europe upon graduation.. which is like 2.5 years from now.. haha. a little early i know, but i need to save up! :) the whole place just seems so surreal & magical. very unlike our modern cosmopolitan Singapore. the architecture there is just so awesome. anyone want to go with me?? :P

time flies.. it's almost the end of yr 1,sem 1, which essentially means that i'm one step closer to embarking into the working world. i hope that i'll have more fun next sem... i think the modules that i'll be taking will be more interesting as well. no more STATS!! that's like a super huge plus point for me. :) may take french,forensic sci or music next sem as an elective. i hope that i'll get a 3 day week!!

back to the books again..... :(

finally finished UE2. :) must control myself & NOT start on any more shows. just 1 more mth... then it's all over! no more STATS! haha. i've 2 more stats projects due. i think it's super ridiculous to give us projects so close to the exams. i dun think it makes much sense to do so. the time spent on these projects can be used for studying instead! this week is the last week of lectures & next week is the last week of tutorials. after that, i have 1 week for studying before the exams begin on the 7th of Nov.

xuelin ah... after exams must get kennise & the rest to go 'cheong k' ok... i missed out on it the last time. :( haha.. miss u guys. :P and can collect the VCDs from u at the same time.. :)

studying time tonight... :( i'm quite worried that i won't be able to finish studying. but like what agnes said... no more condemnation!! God's grace will be more than sufficient for me. the exam qns will be on what i've studied! "let not your heart be troubled".. must continue to remember this. :)

esther & pam want to borrow UE from me... ahaha. it's like a fantastic show!!! haha. i told xuelin that i'm suffering from bo yin & ka yuen withdrawal symptoms.. :P she told me that she experienced the same thing the last time. :P

i want to go shopping!! i havent' been shopping ever since the JB trip during my recess week! that's very long! i've great plans for the holidays.. haah.. gonna meet up with lynette, maybe pris[our long overdue catch-up session],triumvirate outing,work,waishan for k-box.... haha. great plans i have.. :)

i've just finished the 10th disc of UE2!! my goodness. it's even better than UE 1!! thanks xuelin so much for the songs! :P haha. was planning to go to sleep last night. then i met xuelin online. and i was telling her abt UE2 and all. then she told me that disc 9 is very nice & had lots of scenes abt bo yin & ka yuen. so guess what? i was tempted by her to watch it before going to sleep.. :P haah. but it was damn nice!! i like the theme song of UE 2 much better than UE 1. UE 2's theme song sounds more mellow & not as hyper as UE 1. :)

AA101 lecture later.. gotta leave the house soon. exams in approx 3 weeks time. :(

i've received my Mark stuff!!! i'm a happy girl. :) the only downside was that the seller left out 1 bottle of the acne treatment that was meant for Pam. hopefully it'll get here soon. the shades that i bought were just right for me! price wise, it's easy on the pocket too!! :)

just finished watching UE. i love it!!! haha. after watching snippets of it, my brother says that he wants to become a forensic scientist in the future. :) very appropriate for him esp since he loves bio & chem. i asked him if he would consider being a coroner instead. his reply? a firm & resounding NO. the reason?? he claims that he can't stomach the possible stench & gruesome corpses that he may face thus resulting in him not being able to eat. to him, eating is very important.. those who know him will understand. :P i'm on the 2nd disc of UE 2 now. very addictive!! wai shan told me that i'll love flora lots after watching this show & it's true!! ahhaha. she wants to borrow it after the exams as well. :)

esther!!! thanks so much for yr cookies!! haha. even though they were a little on the salty side. :P yr so-called change in receipe didn't work out too well eh..:P but thanks for it anyway. :) wonder what the postman was thinking when he delivered it to my house. :)

studying time now...i'm trying to catch up on stats. doing my tutorial 8 now. :) yay!!

it's the begining of the 12th week of school. 3 more weeks to the exams. :( urgh. i seriously need to start catching up on my work. esp for stats... i wanna go shopping with Pam. but i can't find the time to go. :( i need new pants & i'm wondering if i should buy the nice jacket that i saw that day. but it's pricey though. and i've finally finished watching Revolving Doors Of Vengeance. :) totally love that show.. i cannot start on any shows until after my exams man. cannot get distracted anymore. maybe i'll remove my laptop from the room as well. it's equally distracting. i'm always so tempted to log on & surf the net instead of studying. now i understand why my parents didn't allow me to put the computer in my room last time.

gonna work during my hols. i think i'll need to apply @ the begining of Nov or something. just in case the O & A level ppl beat me to it. :P wanna work at the airport!!! see if i can get a job there this time. :)

it's good to take time off from the real world sometimes. was at the airport early this morning to study. went to my usual spot @ T1's viewing gallery. i love watching the planes take off & land. it feels so surreal somehow. it can probably be attributed to the fact that the airport's a place where ppl depart & arrive. i feel as if i'm stuck in btw the two.

it reminds me of the times that i spent there during the O & A level periods. the airport used to be my frequent haunt. ever since i entered uni, trips there have decreased greatly. maybe it's the distance, or maybe it's the stress from school. but whatever the case is, it's important to have a place for reflection, for solitude. where you can just sit there and let the silence wash over you. cleansing u from within, preparing you for the next challenge. even as i sit in semi-darkness, the morning sun streams through the glass panes illuminating my notes. the peace & calm that surrounds me is a welcoming change from the hustle of school.school has been rather hectic lately,esp since the exams are in approximately 4 weeks. i'll be glad when it's over.

going to the airport to see joe tomorrow.. haha. xuelin said that she was quite embarassed that day. so i'm going with her.. :) i was quite pissed off today. i skipped OB&D lect this morning. so i went to sch just for AA101 tutorial. guess what i saw when i reached the tutorial class? a notice pasted on the door saying that my tutor was on MC!!!! argh.. that means i travelled to sch for NOTHING!! thank God i had group meeting for OB&D.. otherwise it would really have been a waste of time! then on the way home, elizabeth whipped out her laptop to watch CSI.. haha. so both of us were like starring at the comp screen the whole time with the vol turned up pretty high. :P but it's nice! liz... see la, u got me hooked. :) oh, and did u know that u can get internet access on the train? i think it's because of those ppl living in HDB flats near the tracks. they probably have wireless connections which happen to extend all the way to the train. :P so liz & i were trying to connect to the net for half the journey be4 giving up and watching CSI. :P
