Oh man... i can't believe i missed An evening with Paul Theroux at the NLB yesterday. i only found out abt it when i read the interview done with him in LIFE today. :( He's a v good writer.. would have loved to meet him in person & get my book signed as well.. bleah.. oh well. it's not meant to be.

oh man... Esther might be going for the Hillsong's Conference this year.. omg. i'm so jealous.. i've been wanting to go since last year! it seems damn gd this year.. i don't think i'll be able to make it next year cause of my attachment. so, i guess i'll only be able to go when i grad. and and and.. Reinhard Bonnke is coming to SG! on the 30th of June & 1st of July.. but i'll miss it cause i'm overseas.. :( oh well... nvm. everything in its time. :)

the funniest thing happened when i was surfing thru the conferences that were coming up on the Hillsong website. there was this conference called the "Grace & Favour Seminar" in sept. i was actually thinking of going. then i read carefully & i found that the guest speaker was actually Ps Prince! haha. no wonder i was inclined to go for it. :D

nvm... i'll start saving up so that i can go for it the next time. :P anyone wanna join me? esther, u can always come again.. ;)

2 more papers to go. i didn't manage to finish my biz law yest cause of a lack of time. but at least i was not the only one. i haven't met anyone who has managed to complete it. adelene was saying that it is now that we really have to trust God that He'll see us through. :) rest in Him & He will make yr paths straight in the wilderness..

Exams have already started proper. 1 down & 4 to go. still have quite a bit to read thru for music before the paper tomorrow. that esther has already finished exams.. :( no fair.... econs today was ok i guess.. but i still think what i wrote was kinda short. but God's grace will be upon me & my paper.. :D haha. Adelene was telling me how she prayed over her paper once she completed it. haha. i've already cleared my room of all my econs stuff.. i work fast. ;)

2 more days to the BIG day.. once the exams start, it seems like the days fly by! i don't know if that's considered a good or bad thing.

Miss Chong SMS-ed me out of the blue on fri.. found out that she's going to Harvard in sept for further studies! how cool is that!!! :) anw, we arranged to meet up in june to catch up and all.. yupz.. wonder how's she like now.. :P haven't seen her in eons! date,place & time have yet to be confirmed. will probably wait till i meet up with esther & debbie on the 30th of April before confirming.

i've applied for quite a few jobs. the airport one sounds pretty promising. went down for the 'interview' today.. the guy was quite nice & he was from NBS too! but he's many many yrs my senior. i've emailed esther the details & all. she shd be joining me as well if everything goes well..

i finally watched Wimbledon last night. it was soooo nice! i totally <3 Paul Bettany now.. esther, u have got to share. don't be so selfish. :D the movie makes me feel like playing tennis again. haha. gotta dust off my tennis racket, find my shoes & start working out! i keep procrastinating... wanted to learn squash from Yvonne, but she says its v hard.. :( gotta start going to the gym after exams to build up some muscles.. to lift my heavy baggage @ the HKIA cause there will be no one to help me do so.. haha.

today's service was really good! Ps Prince always seems to have lots more to share, as well as a whole lot of new revelations after his breaks. :) there was this lady sitting behind us in service who laughs v loudly at all the jokes that Ps Prince made. her laughs r not the ordinary laughs. it's those kinda high pitched 'zao sia' laughs. so each time she laughed, my row & the row in front of me will start cracking up. quite a lot of them turned around to see who was making that funny sound.. me included. :D t'was quite entertaining.

i've gotten my VS top as well as my 2 aeropostale tees & i'm lovin it to bits.. sooo comfy! and i have more shirts to wear now. yay! awaiting my AE tee.. shd reach me tomorrow. hope that it won't be too small for me!

was thrown into somewhat of a minor frenzy yesterday when i realised that i had to pass my prof my testimonials & CCA records. much love to denise for lending me yr scanner. & Chester is soooo cute! :D Breko's after exams ya.. time to round up the troops. :P

back to studying at Changi Airport later.... after i finish packaging all my VS spree-er's stuff.. urgh. my room looks like a semi-warehouse now with all the boxes.. :(

i need to go back to sch this week to settle my summer studies stuff.. apparently i need academic referrals. urgh. so now, i need to go hunt ard the sch for 2 nice & kind profs who are willing to write them for me. i still need to fill in the online application, choose my courses, zap the relevant documents & submit them all to IRO by friday. that and revision to be done for exams is absolutely NO joke!

gonna continue with econs tomorrow. hopefully esther can go down too.. we shall see how it goes ya..

okkk.. so exams are like coming soon. how fun. so much has happened within these few days & there's so much to do as well! headed down to the airport today for a good studying session with my books. met a coursemate, Tammy, there as well.. caught sight of a couple of other NTU peeps there too.. haah. studying was pretty fruitful i guess.. going back there again tomorrow. time to get started on acc 2!!!

wondering if i shd go for CG this week. it's gonna be on thurs(i think) & it's a worship/praise session + dinner + study session. ade & cath, u guys going???

got my biz law essay back & i got an A-!! :D praise God. the sad part is that my class participation sucks. but oh well.. haha. and i got a B for my acc PBL case study.. :D

IRO called me up just now. no more vaccancies for HKCU! so i requested to be placed on the waiting list. i shd know by next week if i'm in.

and... i've gotta plan my post-exam timetable. what shd i do if i don't get my summer programme?!?! i've a few options..

1: be a good girl & get a job
2: go on holiday
3: stay at home & slack
4: a combination of all of the above

exams are in 2 weeks time. but instead of studying, i'm planning what to do after my exams.. haha. :D i need a job.. someone pls hire me. airport,bank,acc firm. whatever. pay shd be gd of course. :)

Magic Fundoshi wasn't as gd as expected.. :( oh well.. i'll keep a look out for nicer plays, which shd be coming up in Aug. Breko's was pretty gd.. but one can't have too much of a gd thing. it can get old quite fast. was great meeting up with Pam & Esther yesterday. haven't seen them all in eons. wait till the exams end. we're gonna hold a mahjong session cum sleepover at my place. that & JB shopping trips too.. :D wheeeee. can't wait!

:: New Creation Church

Today's service was different from the usual services. We had a 'miracle' service instead. Before Ps Prince began his sermon, he called for those who had needs in various areas of their lives to come out to the aisle. Then, the care grp leaders & pastors laid hands upon them & prayed for them. Two ppl got healed of their backache in the service! And we're believing God for more miracles! Keep on expecting that good things will happen!

Isn't it amazing how much God loves us? It's better to be loved than to love. The one who knows that he/she is deeply loved by God receives all blessings that God wants to give! check out the gospel of John. John refered to himself as ' the disciple whom Jesus loved'. He was secure in God's love for him. No one can love God as much as He loves us. Peter, on the other hand, kept professing that HE was the one who loved Jesus the most. However, when asked if he knew Jesus, he denied it 3 times! How can that love be compared to God's love for us? Man's love can change. But God's love will NEVER change! Despite all circumstances, He will always be there for us.. " I'll never leave you nor forsake you.."

I've been feeling kinda stressed over the upcoming exams. especially so for accounting II. there's just so much to study & i dunno if i can handle it. each time i'm in the midst of doing my accounting tutorial, i'll always get a headache. only when i've completed the whole tutorial + readings, does the headache go away. i wondered y this headache came upon me. it made me feel so 'blah' & lethargic.. just wanted to sleep in bed. today, after service, God spoke to me. this headache came because of stress over my acct. i forgot the verse " cast all yr cares on Him, for he cares for you". i was trying to do everything by my own efforts. But human efforts will only tire you out. However, when God works, everything is made simple. No sweat! God wants to bless me. But how can He if i insist on doing it my own way? Let go & let God work.

Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need. - Hebrews 4:16

can't wait to meet up with mickey & pam on tues. i want to eat my creamy chicken spag!! :D 1 more week of school.... yay!
