If only I didn't have to grow up. Living blissfully in a state of unknowing would suit me just fine. Haven't you realised that growing up eradicates all yr childhood innocence, the simple trust & faith that you used to have? (ok, i'm sounding like Silas Marner, but that's besides the point.) Affairs used to be handed by parents, who would just tell you to sit in a corner while they settled everything for you. No decisions to make, nothing to worry yr head over. The only thing you have to think about is whether you'll be able to buy that lovely eraser/per/pencil etc that you saw in the school bookshop yesterday. But, having grown up, it's nearly impossible to look at the world through a child's eyes again. Adults become jaded and resigned to their lives. What got me thinking abt this issue was the decision that i've to make soon. choosing the correct university. yeah, i know, it's only a uni right? Wrong. the uni that i ultimately end up in will have a direct impact on my lives. The reasons shall not be stated herewith in case some higher ups from that particular uni happen to stumble in here. But, i'm sure i'm not the only 19 yr old feeling this way. i happen to know for a fact that Esther Mickey Pig is feeling the same way too. If only life was like a set of formulas. Just follow the steps & you'll ultimately end up with the correct ans. But sadly, life was not meant to be like that....

Well, on to happier issues... i bought 2 books yesterday from MPH. J.D.Salinger's- The Catcher In The Rye & Sophie's World. I saw Theroux & Kerosac at MPH too. I was soooo tempted to buy an additional 2 books.. :P Well, i'm going shopping on Sat with Esther & Debbie, let's see what i'll come home with this time. :) And on Sun, i'm going out with Priscilla!! haven't seen her for the longest time!! i'm freezing here in my room at work. it was raining on my way to work today. my jeans got super duper wet even though i was carrying an umbrella. the ends of my jeans are still pretty wet now...

i've rediscovered my love for books.. haven't picked up a book since eons ago. leaving sch seems to be tantamount to leaving books of every kind behind. i'm gonna go down to Peace Center soon to pick up a few books. I'm still at work.. my eyes are getting all blurry from staring at the computer screen. i swear i hate MS Excel with a passion. Aren't computers supposed to make life easier?? On the contrary, i believe it makes things worse!

received a CD from church today on tithing. my whole family was listening to it in the room. :) feel greatly enlightened after the sermon. haha. didn't know that there was so much to tithing. i've always thought that tithing was just, well, tithing! It goes all the way back to the OT & how one will be blessed greatly through his tithes. Read Malachi 3.. it'll give you more insight on tithing. :)

my Birkenstocks are slated to arrive within 2 weeks. can't wait till they get here. Pam is especially excited for some reason which i can't comprehend. haha. :P i'm not gonna go for Bible Study tonight cause tonight's the last epi of Fate Twisters! super happening. i'll go for next week's bible study instead. :P

NTU acct interview's finally over. I think i kinda screwed up during the interview cause i talked a lot of rubbish. plus, i got lost! so i ended up being late for the interview. haiz.... just pray that i'll be able to get a place there..

went for service yest and boy was it fantastic! the service was one of the best that i've had in ages. really felt extremely blessed by Ps Prince's sermon. Too bad my parents missed the sermon. Saw stacy & terrence at church yest.. :) service ended late so Pam & i rushed through our lunch before cab-bing over to Victoria Theatre to catch Boeing Boeing.

Boeing Boeing was totally fab! Lots of witty humour + a totally great cast. A sure win reciepe for success. I liked Rosa, the maid. esp when she goes off stage mumbling incoherently to herself cause she's just too fed up with everyone & everything. Of all the 3 stewardesses, Miss Cathay Pacific (Pam Oei) was the best! Her HK accent was exactly like Pamelia's!! Everyone was laughing super hard throughout. The play was a sell out, so much so that they had to extend it by another 2 shows. Though the tickets cost me $30, i think that it certainly was money well spent. :)

Esther says that she might be able to get free Sound Of Music tickets cause of her mum's connections and all. :) can't wait!

since when did NTU implement interviews for acct?? i just received a call from NTU in the afternoon asking me to go down for an interview for acct. my interview's next tues in the afternoon. wonder what funny qns they'll ask me this time. haha. oh well. no reply from NUS yet though... maybe its GOd's will that i study acct instead of law. sheesh... really confused now. which uni to go??? NTU = 3 yrs, SMU = 4 yrs. NTU's degree seems to be more recognised as compared to SMU's. someone help me out here~!!!

i wanna go on holiday!! i need retail therapy NOW! i can't imagine y ppl would rather work instead of study. I confess i used to be one of them. But now,my view has taken a total 360 degree turn. Working life sucks! if i had a choice, i would rather not work at all. oh, i just wish that school would start soon.. but no such luck i guess.. still gotta wait till Aug. My last day of work's on 30th June. July's the time for me to rest & relax before sch starts. hopefully, i can convince my parents to let me take a short trip somewhere before uni begins. i know esther & pam are just dying to go away too. :P esp esther. she wants to visit her hometown. ;)

i'm meeting pris for lunch later. haven't seen her in a while. haha. she & rach r gonna go to shanghai in may. so envious.. i wanna go too. :P just don't forget me when u guys are there!

i'm at work now. For those who don't know, i've already quit my law firm job & i'm now working at Singapore Comp Systems. The pay's much much better & best of all, its pretty slack as compared to my law firm job. I've my own room! haha. nobody disturbs me in there. I get to surf the net, listen to music & chat on MSN. but of course, i have to do my work la. :) it's pretty light work, so i don't really mind.

well, it looks like i'll be going to SMU instead of NUS. I'm still waiting for NUS to contact me. If i don't get an answer by mid-april, i can pretty much confirm my entry to SMU. I can't wait to start uni. i'm sure it's gonna be very very fun! haha. i don't like working at all... i've heard plenty of complaints from my friends who are working elsewhere and i've concluded that studying is much better. Yes, even though we've exams & all, that stress is nothing compared to what one faces at work. At work, there's so much politics going on. Imagine handling that on top of yr work... i think it's very very unbearable..
