Fairytale Heaven

went to watch The Prince & Me with Pam yesterday. She won free tix n i benefited. haha =) Anyway, i really loved the show. Wouldn't it be nice if something like that could happen in real life? The soundtrack's pretty nice too. Sadly, i can't find the songs anywhere on the net. Guess they are not released yet. =( If anyone manages to find this song, I Hope That I Don't Fall In Love With You-Marc Sohn, pls let me know ya?? The whole storyline's pretty cute too. Its more of a feel-good kind of show. That's my fave type. I don't like to watch horror shows n the like. I know some of my friends do though...

On School

didn't go to school today. Going to CGH for a checkup later on. Goodness, i've already missed so many days of sch this term. All of them are on Thursday too. I think my teachers are gonna suspect that there's a pattern or something.Anyway, Drama Night's coming up n the crew has to stay in school everyday to finish painting the set n all. I'm not very happy with this arrangement though. My lessons end pretty late for one thing, and i stay so far away from sch! It takes me almost 1hr 20 mins to get to sch! So if i leave sch at 7++, i'll reach home at 9+, so where am i going to find the time n energy to complete my h/w n do my revision????? In addition, i have 2 tests next week! My Econs isn't very good too, so i have to put in more time for that sub. I'm still taking 4 subs! I wouldn't mind it so much if they stagger the times so that not everyone has to stay back every day, but only on the days allocated to them. I think that this arrangement would be fairer to everyone. At least there will be time for everyone to study.

On Holidays

Holidays are coming in 5 weeks time. I await that day with a mixture of happiness n trepidation. Firstly, i get a break from sch after a long while. However, the fact that the A levels are nearing fills me with apprehension. There's so much to do, but so little time. Only when its the Dec hols will i really feel truly free n happy. =) Anyway, haven't really made plans from the holidays. Looks like its gonna be filled up with studying n more studying. Bleah. So boring.....But i don't really have a choice do i?

On Shopping

I haven't been buying any new clothes or whatsoever for a long long time. Saving up for the trip in Dec. Valueair gonna's have flights to HK. Wondering if i should go for it. It would be an interesting exprerience too. hm..... I want to go Zara! Heard that they have already released their new range of clothes! Can't wait to check it out! However, i must remember to keep a tight rein on my wallet! Control myself!

Everything looked and sounded unreal.Nothing was what it is. That's what i wanted - to be alone with myself in another world where truth is untrue and life can hide from itself. Out beyond the harbour,where the road runs along the beach, i even lost the feeling of being on land. The fog and the sea seemed part of each other. It was like walking on the bottom of the sea. As if i had drowned a long time ago. As if i was a ghost belonging to the fog , and the fog was a ghost of the sea. It felt damned peaceful to be nothing more than a ghost within a ghost.

sometimes, u just want to get away from it all, from all the realities and pressures of life. Escapism. That's what it is. At times, i can really understand why the Tyrones [ from Long Day's Journey Into Night] welcome the fog. The fog shuts you out from all the harshness of reality. Pressure really gets to people,so much so that they welcome any form of release from it,even if it is just temporary. However, being in this world means that we have to face up to life n the pressures that come with it. Wouldn't it be nice to be free from all these??? Sadly, we can only find a temporary form of escape, never a permanant one. What goes around, comes around. We will still be stuck with our problem no matter how we run away from it. Where then can we seek solace and refuge??

Got back all my results already.One word to describe it: HORRIBLE! To think that i studied harder than i did for my Promos n i actually ended up with these kind of results! Or am i that dumb? Anyway, looks like i gotta study harder if i'm ever going to get into uni. *sighz*

On to happier things now. I'm gonna buy my luggage trolley bag tomorrow! yay...=P Oh, i've gotta go to sch for drama. That's gonna spoil my day. I still don't feel anything for drama at all. I know i'm supposed to love it, or at least show my support for it. But sadly, no matter how i try, i just can't. This goes to show that Drama is that bad.yep. Why must CCA be included into the total uni score?? My performance in Drama isn't exactly stellar. Luckily, i can get extra points due to my being a subject rep. Also,i joined the Maths Olympiad last year, which translates to another 2 points. =) Hopefully, the total score i get for PEARLS will be quite decent. Oh well, at least i won't have to go for Drama after Drama Night on 8th May. 1 more mth to go. yep.looking forward to it.

You were at a fast food restaurant. You spotted your friend sitting on a bench outside. When you approached, he was wiping a tear from his face.

I was jolted and jostled around by the crowd in the shopping center. It was a Saturday morning like any other, the shopping centers crammed full of eager shoppers. And it just so happened that today, there was a 50% discount at John Little, so the crowd was worse than usual. I had tripped and fallen, and had nearly been trampled, but I escaped with minor injuries, having used a rugby technique of exposing my back and protecting my ears and head.

I was the master of my will this time, since I was out gallivanting on my own with nobody to pester me to hurry up. Thus, I decided to head to the nearby fast food restaurant to get a soft drink. Normally, my mother would have stopped me from drinking such sugary, aerated drinks, but since she wasn’t here today… doesn’t everybody have a bit of the devil in them? Strolling leisurely towards the restaurant, I noticed a familiar figure sitting on a bench outside the restaurant, looking sad and forlorn. As I neared him, he wiped a solitary tear off his face. I recognized him as one of my friends from my school.

I walked up to him, my face etched with concern. He let out an audible sob, and then wiped more tears away. When I asked him what had happened, he simply shook his head, coughed, and made a weak attempt to explain. However, he was suddenly overcome by a series of racking coughs. My heart went out to him, as he looked so pitiful. Not even the most heartless being on the face of the earth could resist feeling pity for this poor soul.

“What happened?” I repeated, my voice soft and full of concern. He coughed again, his eyes watering, and rasped, “Too much chilli in my cheeseburger…”

Getting back most of my block tests results this week. so far, what i've gotten back is pretty sucky.. bleah. Anyway, i still hate drama[what's new?] n i've only gone to sch 3 days this week. =) I'm gonna have 3 periods of econs tomorrow! That translates to 2 hours stuck in a room with Mrs Tan n her favourite subject. Econs. Nvm.i like econs. i really do! i know u guys don't believe me, but oh well... I think i'm gonna get back my econs,lit and maths by tomorrow. Yuck,yuck n triple yuck! I heard that so many ppl failed! Pray hard that i'm not one of them. yep yep.

I'm not going for drama on sat. yay! Got CIP to do. haha.. The drama ppl can just get out of my life...preferably forever. It's back to the study grind after resting for so long. I really must stop myself from watching all those HK Drama Serials. They are just so addictive. ARGH!! Its like a drug. You know that it's bad, but u just keep watching it over n over again. This is bad, real bad. *tsk tsk tsk*

I'm getting real interested in photography now. Seems very interesting. However, i'm still kinda confused over all the photographic lingo they use. I actually thought an SLR cam was equal to a DC! So malu.... Anyway, i'm still trying to sell off my C-300Z to fund my Canon A70. The A70 has more manual controls n i've heard that its pretty good for night shots too. It would be the perfect camera if it weren't so heavy. Am deciding btw a A70 or a Nikon 3100. However, though the pictures taken by the Nikon are comparable to Canon, its day shots are kinda weird. They seem too bright somehow.But the Nikon 3100 is definitely much much much lighter than the A70. Both use CF Cards, so storage shouldn't be a problem. Someone help me out here!! I'm in a big dilemna! =(

I'm suffering from withdrawal symptoms of not eating Popeye's Chicken at Changi Airport. Debbie! Its all your fault for introducing me to it! huh! The chicken's better than KFC, though albeit salty. The biscuit's perfect! So yummy with the syrup. The mashed potato has chicken bits in it. yum...need i say anymore? Popeye's Chicken should open more outlets in S'pore. I bet that they will definitely win KFC hands down. KFC prices are increasing.but the size of their servings seem to be decreasing, as it is with the other fast food outlets like Mcdonald's,Long John Silvers......... Is there a inverse relationship or what? Prices increase n so servings decrease? Perhaps they feel that LDMR might take place? Seriously questionable.

Now, on to sch food. I really dislike sch food. In my opinion, of all the schools that i've been to, only Tao Nan has the best food. Up till now, i'm still thinking of the wonderful Mee Rebus, the yummy Chicken Rice and the tasty Fishball Mee... Prices aren't that high too. in SA, i seem to be eating the same food over n over again. I alternate btw Char Bee Hoon,Prata n Fishball Mee. The Prata is nice though. I like the curry. Not too spicy. =) that's the best part! haha.
