Exams Are Over!!!

whee....i'm so darn happy! once the last paper was collected today, the whole room erupted into cheers. Exam week has been totally draining on me, so much so that i didn't even have time to update! I really don't know how well i'm going to do for my exams, but i can't really be bothered anymore. All that matters is that exams are over! yay!

There's going to be a triumvirate outing tomorrow! We're going to Changi Airport.haha.. weird place ya? Its just that S'pore is getting pretty boring. You've seen one shopping center, you've seen them all. there's just nothing new anymore. Anyway, its good in a sense since i'm in the saving mood. yeah, i'm still saving up for HK. Not a bad amt saved so far.=P

The NUS Open House was pretty gd today! I went for a tour of the Law Faculty with Pam. Had a pretty enjoyable time overall.=) Managed to find out some lesser known facts abt Law Sch n all. I feel so motivated to study hard now. Looks like each time i feel like slacking, i just have to think abt Law Fac n i'll start studying hard. =P

That stinky Esther pig didn't even go today.... woke up so super late too. tsk tsk tsk. have to get my butt off the comp chair n start studying now!! =)

Sponsorship

gosh..i want to buy a new digicam! the Canon Powershot A80! the cam is just so cool, with its high megapixels n swiveling LCD screen!! I'm gonna go to the IT Show tomorrow to see if i can get one for a decent price. =) Trying to sell away my Olympus Cam for $320. Let's hope that i'll be able to sell it off soon ya?

Oh yeah.....read today's Straits Times!! The doctor [Prof William Yip] featured in today's papers, in HOME, was the doctor that i used to go to when i was young. =) almost didn't recognise him cause he looks sooo much older! It was only when my mother told me did i realise that it was him.

Argh!!!!!! Block Tests are coming! have to start studying econs already!!!!! i want a BBC for block test 1. hope that i'll be able to achieve it. All things are possible with God's grace. yep, i know i can do it!! =) i really must stop blogging so much n start studying n stop wasting so much time on the comp n in front of the TV~! I'm not going to school tomorrow! haha. finally, i get a break! Almost got KO-ed. the break was really timely. i really need it now. however, with the block tests, i think i'm gonna spend most of my hols studying...*boo hoo*

Food for thought

The bus analogy. imagine the bus to be the majority of the cohort as they progress in their studies. if u lag behind, u'll have to chase after the bus all the time---not very nice. if u're hanging by ur fingertips on the bus, u better make an extra effort to get up the bus, or risk falling off when the bus speeds up---its dangerous. one last option wld be to sit atop the bus, adjusting the air-conditioner, and slowly taking out the book "chicken soup for the slackers" and enjoying the entire journey without much hassle. jus moving off a few minutes earlier and getting urself on the bus wld thus mean an entire journey of relaxation and rest. and yet being on time. now this analogy clearly says that we shld start earlier. afterall, the earlier buses are often empty and more comfortable, but lonely.

SAJC Up n On!

The A Level results were released today 5/3/04. I got back my Chinese AO results as well. i didn't do fabulously well or anything, but at least i passed!! good bye chinese forever n ever amen!

i was in the hall today watching my seniors collect their results. As i stood there listening to the principal talk abt the A Level results n how well SAJC has done,i thought to myself:" i will be here next year ard this time collecting my results. will i be glad or sad to recieve my results?" After a while, the results were given out. Shouts of joy errupted across the hall. But of course, there were ppl who did not do as well n erupted into floods of tears. Though my sympathy goes out to these ppl, part of me also feels that its partly their own fault that they ended with such results. So as of now, i have decided to start studying HARD. call me a 'chao mugger' if u wish, but i really do not want to be part of the group that cries when they recieve their A Level results next year. Its a scary thought, not even knowing if u r able to get into uni or not.

SAJC did pretty well this year. [i copied this off the SAJC website] St Andrew's Junior College is pleased to announce that 90.8% of its 2002/2003 cohort have passed the GCE A level examination achieving at least 2 As and 2AOs (including General Paper). A total of 884 students sat for the examinations held in Nov 2003. A total of 96.9% students achieved 3 A level passes.

The College has done particularly well in English Literature, Biology and Math C with a total of 50.9% of Literature students scoring distinctions, 53.1% distinctions in Biology and with 56.2% of students achieving distinctions in Math C.
Hm... since SAJC did well fot Lit, with more than half scoring distinction, perhaps there's hope for me after all.... =) I think i'll hang onto all my 4 subjects after all. I've a little more confidence now,esp since i just got back my PC mock exam n i got a 'C' for it, an improvement! =)

My senior commented that i looked more haggard n thinner than last year. Is that really true?? Gosh, look at what JC2 has done to me.....sighz. Well, what to expect? i end at practically 5 everyday, only having breaks at 2.10 sometimes...Not to mention all the homework that the teachers pile up on us n expect us to complete!

Well, here ends my post...i'm off to embark on my 'chao mugger' career.........

homework n more homework!

sheesh, i still have to do a Div essay for Mdm Chan..*boo hoo* Its all Esther's fault. Actually, Mdm Chan had already forgotten abt it. But Esther had to go n remind her by handing it up... Anyway, the teachers are piling homework on us like there's no tomorrow. since the Block Tests are coming, i guess its pretty justified. Oh, n speaking of tests, that reminds me. I had a GP Quiz today, most of which was just plain guess-work. I'm gonna be very very surprised if i actually pass the quiz. Hopefully its not included in the Block Test marks.

Chinese n Project Work results are coming out on Fri, 5/3/04. Anyway, since Chinese is not included for uni admission, i don't really care what grades i get. as long as i meet the minimum requirements, i'm satisfied. Looks like the chinese teachers are going to be 'out of business'! I just hope i do decently for my PW. It still counts for 10% of uni admission. I've almost given up on my CCA already. Its really pointless n a huge waste of time. and you know what? we are actually supposed to have passion for it! yeah right. passion for something i hate! i hate my cca with lots n lots of passion. how's that? thank god that there was no Drama today. It got cancelled for some reason or other. But who cares, as long as i get to go home! =)

Examine the importance of the farewell discourse in John from chapter 14-16.

this is my div essay question. anyone interested in helping me out with it? i'm still stuck with only one paragraph!

thank you, from the bottom of my heart

To a certain ex-RJCian, whose name i shall not mention here, thank you so so much! Your help has been most beneficial to me. =) i won't forget all you've done for me.[yeah, i know it sounds a little cliche, but i really mean it!]

I didn't go to sch today. Had to remove a wart from my leg. It was pretty painful cause from what i could see,the nurse didn't give me any anesthetic at all! The nurse used something like a razor to scrape the wart. After that, she used a spray gun to spray liguid nitrogen onto it. I still have to go back in two weeks time to repeat the procedure one more time~! Ouch....i'm dreading it already!
